WELCOME TO THE MILESTONE HOUSE…

Milestone is a positive, drug -free living environment, in which peers offer support to each other and lead sober lives through extensive involvement in 12-step participation. Milestone is a place where adults take action in their recovery.

Our residents typically have completed some level of structured treatment prior to entering our house. At Milestone there is opportunity to continue growth in recovery, living in “real” life as responsible adults. All residents must be drug and alcohol free before entering.

Located in Dover, New Jersey, Milestone is in close proximity to many AA and NA meetings. Peers encourage each other to attend these meetings. Certain evenings, we gather at Milestone to hear speakers share their recovery experiences.

Some residents have legal and/or employment problems and we cooperate with courts, Probation/Parole Departments, and Employee Assistance Programs. Most residents stay a minimum of six months to a year.

In some cases, where clinically appropriate or as required by court, our residents attend outside counseling/therapy while living here.* These cases are referred to outside resources in the community and are determined by financial and insurance status.

The “recovery community” is very supportive of us and, overall, our residents have been very successful at remaining drug and alcohol free. We create an opportunity where one can live “real life” and have the extra support that they may have been lacking during previous attempts to stay clean and sober.

Men and women, ages 18 and up, are welcome here. Our residents typically work a 12-step program and have various length of “clean time” (often multiple years of sobriety). We feel it is beneficial to mix residents that are new in recovery with others that have multiple years clean and sober.
